India – Lockdown 4.0 from 18th May

In his address to the nation today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that to contain the spread of Covid-19 in the country, Lockdown 4.0 will be implemented from 18th May. “Keeping into consideration suggestions received from state governments, Centre’s Lockdown 4.0 will be unique in nature and with new set of guidelines” he added.
Stressing the need for Indians to show solidarity and strength in defeating the pandemic and lead the world to revival post Covid-19 is settled, he urged the countrymen to follow a disciplined life ahead.

Detailed guidelines for lockdown 4.0 will be released before the current lockdown period ends on 17th May.
As on date India has total of 71,445 confirmed Covid-19 cases (46,072 active) out of which 23,059 have recovered and over 2310 lives already lost.
